young children may find playing guitar quite difficult as it will hurt their fingers and sometimes strugle with concentration etc.

How much is a lesson?

A 30 minute,  one to one lesson costs £15.00 if paid in cash in the studio, at the start of the lesson.

There is an option to pay online however due to extra costs, if you chose to pay in this way the lessons are charged at £17.00.

How often should I have a lesson?

Lessons should take place in your regular lesson slot once a week.

We do not offer fortnightly lessons at the moment.

Do I need to pay for my lesson if I'm unable to attend?

No you do not, however you must give a bare minimum of 24 hours notice of cancelation or you will be charged for the lesson you missed, also if you miss more than 7 lessons in a rolling 52 week period you will be expected to cover the cost of any missed lessons going forward.

From Grade 4 onwards, formal certification can also boost UCAS points, used for entry into advanced education.

Can I as a parent be present in my childs lesson?

This is something we encourage. We have a comfortable seating area for you  seating area for you to sit and watch the lessons, some childeren can find it daunting for the first few lessons,

When it comes to learning guitar is it always best to start with an acoustic rather than an electric guitar?

Although many do believe that this is the way to go, believing you "serve your apprentership" on an acoustic before graduating to an electric version. Personally, I would disagree with this, electric guitars are easier to play due to having lighter gage strings and the action (the distance between the string and the fret board) being smaller and also electric guitars are more fun to play as your just starting they hurt your fingers less and for not a vast amount of money you can be playing quite a cool instrument.

How much should I pratice between lessons?

That’s really up to the individual, however we do recommend a minimum of three ten minute sessions a week and this will aid advancement in your playing whilst still being achievable in today’s busy world.
